My Magic Box

I will put in my box,

The birthmark of a newborn baby,
A shiny silver heart of a lost star,
The first twinkle in the sky seen by a lady,

I will put in my box,

A lion's soul in a cloud,
Three turquoise silk bells,
A shell with a mysterious map inside,

I will put in my box,

The nutty nail of a mermaid,
A scale from a beast,
The horn from a unicorn.

My box is fashioned from,

The brightest, most perfect phoenix tail,
My lock is made from sword gems,
Its hinges are dinosaur legs.

I shall sleep in my box,
The loveliest dreams you ever dreamed.

My Adventures In The Last Dragon Kingdom

This is part of Suni's assignment on her Bhutan trip which she presented in class in her kira, the traditional Bhutanese costume. She told the class stories with the aid of photos, books, prayer flags and prayer wheels. The teacher said later on that everyone was fascinated and wanted to go to Bhutan.
